Custom Decorative Plaster
CUSTOM PLASTER FINISHES
Remont Studios creates custom decorative plaster finishes for residences, restaurants, hotels and commercial interiors throughout New York City. Applied by hand in carefully built layers, plaster gives walls and ceilings depth, texture and a richness that conventional paint cannot reproduce.
We collaborate with homeowners, interior designers, architects and hospitality teams to develop colors and finishes suited to each space. Our work ranges from softly textured, matte surfaces to polished Venetian plaster, with sampling and careful surface preparation guiding every project.

CONSULTATION & SAMPLING

-
Decorative plaster is a hand-applied finish that creates depth, texture and natural variation across a surface. Unlike conventional paint, plaster can be built up, troweled and polished to achieve finishes ranging from softly textured and matte to smooth and reflective.
-
We create custom finishes using materials and techniques that include Venetian plaster, Marmorino, Roman Clay and other textured or distressed plaster applications. We recommend the appropriate finish based on the desired appearance, existing surface and needs of the space.
-
Decorative plaster can be applied to walls, ceilings, fireplaces and selected architectural features in residences, restaurants, hotels and commercial interiors. We evaluate the location, surface and level of use before recommending the appropriate finish and protective treatment.
-
Pricing depends on the square footage, wall condition, ceiling height, surface preparation and complexity of the selected finish. After reviewing project photos, dimensions and design direction, we provide a tailored estimate. Larger or more detailed projects may require a site visit before pricing is finalized.
-
Timing depends on the size of the space, the condition of the surfaces and the complexity of the finish. A smaller room may take several days, while larger residences, restaurants and commercial interiors may require one or more weeks. The schedule also allows time for preparation, multiple plaster layers and proper drying.
-
Yes. We create samples to explore color, texture, movement and sheen before the final finish is approved. We can work directly with homeowners or collaborate with interior designers, architects and hospitality teams to develop a finish suited to the materials, lighting and character of the space.
